Matford, also known as Matford Dinham, is a historic estate located in the parish of Alphington, near Exeter in Devon. It should not be confused with Matford in the parish of Heavitree, which is located on the opposite side of the River Exe.
Matford was a significant estate in the area for centuries, with records dating back to the 16th century. The estate was known for its large house, Matford House, which was situated at the junction of Old Matford Lane and the A379 Exeter By-Pass. However, the house was demolished in the mid-20th century and the site is now occupied by the Devon Hotel.
